现任新加坡南洋理工大学拉惹勒南国际研究院副教授、教务长特任国际关系讲座教授，兼研究院的博士项目主任。他的主要研究兴趣包括国际关系、中美关系、中国外交、亚太地区安全、海洋安全以及全球治理。李明江曾任新华社记者，从波士顿大学获得政治学博士学位。他已出版15本英文书，包括《中美关系新趋势：角逐亚太》（Routledge, 2014）以及《软实力：中国崛起的国际政治战略》（Lexington-Rowman & Littlefiled, 2009）。他在众多国际前沿学术期刊上发表过论文，包括International Affairs, Water International, Asian Perspective, Asian Politics & Policy, Asian Security, the Oxford Bibliographies, Journal of Asian Security and International Affairs, the Journal of Strategic Studies, Global Governance, Cold War History, Journal of Contemporary China, The Chinese Journal of International Politics, China: An International Journal, the Chinese Journal of Political Science, China Security, Security Challenges, the International Spectator，Harvard Asia Quarterly等。李明江博士被频繁邀请为世界许多国家政府官员以及跨国公司提供咨询。
